The Salon charity fundraiser for Starlight children's foundation
Students from the college Salon including Hairdressing Level 1, 2 and 3 and Beauty Therapy Level 2 and 3 students are holding a charity event in support of Starlight children's foundation.
We held a Money Skills Week from 7 – 11 May, with the aim of boosting your knowledge on managing your finances. Student finance is an ever important issue and helping students gain solid foundations in personal finance can really prepare you for life at university and in the working world.
After an intense day of competition, the results are in for the World Skills UK London and the South East heat of Industrial Electronics. 2 Reading College students finished in the top 4 and are now in with a chance of going through to the UK finals in November.
Additional Discretionary Learner Support Funding to support current students
Reading College has been allocated additional Discretionary Learner Support Funding to support current students who were aged 19+ for the current year’s provision.

Aaron Thompson, a Level 3 Sport (Performance and Excellence) student recently attended the Great Britain Dragonboat racing trials in Peterborough.
35 second year students and staff from the LLD/D Work Preparation course have raised an impressive £400 for the Reading branch of Phab.
